2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: Email address, name, country, and motorcycle details (make and model)
- Profile Data: Optional information you choose to provide about your riding experience
2.2 Information Automatically Collected
- Video Recordings: Videos of motorcycle manoeuvres you record through the app
- Sensor Data: Gyroscope, accelerometer, and GPS data collected during manoeuvre recordings (sampled at 60Hz for motion sensors, 1Hz for GPS)
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and unique device identifiers
- Usage Data: How you interact with the Service, including session times, features used, and performance metrics
- Website Analytics: On our website (savvyrider.ai), we use Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics to understand visitor behaviour. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect page views, session duration, geographic region, device information, and referral sources.
- App Analytics and Session Recordings: Within the Savvy Rider app, we use PostHog to understand how users interact with features. This includes button clicks, navigation patterns, and anonymous session recordings of your screen activity. Sensitive fields such as passwords and email inputs are automatically masked in all recordings. Session recordings help us identify usability issues and improve the experience. PostHog does not use cookies; data is stored using your browser's local storage.
- Error Tracking: We use Sentry to detect and diagnose technical errors in the app. This may include device information, browser type, and technical details about the error. No personally identifiable information is intentionally collected for error tracking.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: Analyze your riding technique, compare to expert benchmarks, and provide personalized feedback
- Product Improvement: Understand usage patterns, improve our AI models, and develop new features
- Communication: Send you service updates, technical notices, and respond to your inquiries
- Safety and Security: Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or security vulnerabilities

Your core data (account information, recordings, sensor data, and analysis results) is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (AWS servers located in Australia). Signup and early access form data (name, email, country, motorcycle details, and device platform) is stored in HubSpot CRM (servers in the United States). Analytics and error-tracking data may be processed on servers in the United States by our third-party providers (PostHog, Google, HubSpot, and Sentry). We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encryption at rest for stored data
- Access controls and authentication mechanisms
- Regular security monitoring and updates
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Specifically:
- Account Data: Retained until you delete your account
- Video Recordings: Retained for analysis and progress tracking; you may delete individual recordings at any time
- Sensor Data: Retained in aggregated, anonymized form for model improvement after 12 months
- Backup Data: May be retained for up to 30 days in backup systems after deletion

8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. 9. International Data Transfers
Your core data (account information, recordings, and analysis results) is stored on servers located in Australia (AWS ap-southeast-2). Signup and early access form data is stored in HubSpot CRM (United States). Analytics data collected by PostHog, Google Analytics, and Sentry is processed on servers in the United States. If you access the Service from outside Australia, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Australia or the United States.
For users in the EU/UK: We will implement appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) when transferring your data internationally to ensure adequate protection.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated policy on this page
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top
